Many couples trying to get pregnant find themselves turning to an age-old treatment for help -- Acupuncture -- and it's working.
Trying to conceive can be an exciting process, but it can also become physically and emotionally demanding—particularly for individuals and couples navigating fertility challenges or assisted reproductive treatments.
Acupuncture and East Asian medicine have a long history of use in women’s health and reproductive care. Today, many patients choose acupuncture as a complementary therapy while trying to conceive naturally or while undergoing fertility treatments such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).
I have worked with fertility and reproductive-health patients throughout my clinical career and have completed additional postgraduate training in acupuncture and reproductive medicine. Treatment is always individualized based on your health history, menstrual cycle, symptoms, fertility treatment plan, and overall well-being.
Supporting You Through Fertility Treatment
Depending on your individual needs, acupuncture may be incorporated into care to support concerns such as:
Stress and anxiety during the fertility process
Menstrual-cycle symptoms
Sleep and overall well-being
Physical and emotional effects associated with fertility treatment
General reproductive and menstrual health
For patients undergoing IUI, IVF, or other fertility treatments, acupuncture can be scheduled around the treatment cycle when appropriate. I am also happy to work alongside your reproductive endocrinologist, OB-GYN, or other healthcare providers as part of a coordinated approach to your care.
My goal is not to make promises about fertility outcomes, but to provide thoughtful, individualized support during what can be a very demanding process.
